Just a day after the public release of macOS Sierra 10.12.2, Apple has begun rolling out macOS 10.12.3 beta 1 to developers. Sierra 10.12.2 brought in new emoji, wallpapers, graphics & System Integrity Protection fixes, and the removal of the system battery’s estimated ‘time remaining’ feature. This initial seed of macOS Sierra 10.2.3 beta 1 weighs in at 1.04 GB, and is most likely a bug-centric release fix. Apple’s developer center has already posted 10....

Apple this weekend has shared five new Apple Watch how-to videos on YouTube. These videos focus on things like changing your Apple Watch videos, adjusting your Move goal, and more fitness features. Each video comes in at right around 30 seconds in length, covering a specific feature of the Apple Watch. They continue the style used by Apple in other Apple Watch and iPhone tutorial videos. For instance, one video covers how to use Siri on Apple Watch, specifically focusing on using the viral assistant to start a workout....

We’ve been tracking the progress of Apple’s Campus 2 expansion project over several months, and today the city of Cupertino and Apple have shared a new aerial shot of the site showing construction on several new sections of the massive spaceship-like building. Compared to the last official photo shared, the new perspective offers an closer shot of the Campus 2 construction with building construction taking shape on roughly half the circle....

Apple’s first ever Japanese bond sale will raise more than had been previously estimated. An SEC filing reveals that the sale will raise ¥250B ($2B), more than the ¥200 billion ($1.6B) which had been reported earlier. Apple is selling the bonds in Japanese yen due to the extremely low interest rates in the country, with Apple offering a rate of just 0.35%, paid twice a year in June and December. Goldman Sachs, one of the two underwriters of the bond issue, said that the market would welcome the offering....

After a decade, Apple’s Joint Venture support program for small and medium-size businesses appears to be coming to an end. Apple is sending emails to customers about how the program will wrap up, that refunds will be issued, and how a new AppleCare offering will be filling the gap going forward. Apple launched Joint Venture back in 2011 as an IT solution for small and medium-size businesses. The pitch was to help companies “Get Set Up, Get Trained and Stay Running....

Apple closed all of its retail stores outside of Greater China on March 13 due to the coronavirus pandemic. After more than a month of closures, Apple’s only store in South Korea is scheduled to reopen to customers at a reduced capacity on April 18. Apple Store closures were initially planned to last until March 27. The evolving global health situation necessitated indefinite closures as Apple assessed the conditions in each market where it operates retail stores....

Following the discontinuation of the iMac Pro earlier this year, Apple announced in May that it would also be discontinuing the space gray iMac accessories. That day has officially come, and the space gray Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse are no longer available to order from Apple. As first spotted by Appleosophy, the space gray Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad have been removed from Apple’s Online Store as of this week....

Apple put forward a second California litigation against South Korea-based Samsung earlier this week when it sought the court’s consent to add the Android-powered Galaxy S III smartphone to its motion for a preliminary injunction against the Galaxy Nexus. According to FOSS Patents: Apple filed the first preliminary injunction motion against the Galaxy Nexus in February over four disputed patents. The Cupertino, Calif.-based Company’s requested in its latest motion that Samsung withhold the launch of the device’s successor in the United States until the court rules on the preliminary injunction request....

Following an earlier preview and list of new emoji by the Unicode Consortium, Apple has shared some of the emoji coming to Apple devices later this year. In celebration of World Emoji Day (which is apparently a thing), Apple has also done a playful makeover of iTunes Movies, as well as highlighting emoji-related apps … Apple also notes the continued expansion of differing skin tones, stating that ‘the new emoji make it easier for users to express themselves with greater diversity....

Variety reports that Apple has signed on a new director, Mimi Leder, for its untitled, unreleased drama series it’s currently working on behind the scenes. The series stars Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon with executive producer and showrunner Kerry Ehrin. With no timeline set, it’ll be interesting to see how Apple plans to rollout its now publicly known original content. The company has been aggressively pushing its content efforts over the past year with tons of new shows being worked on....

Neon lights bring the iPhone X’s Animoji to life in a new, 1-minute ad premiering on Apple’s Korean YouTube channel. After releasing two Animoji-themed music spots just in time for the Grammy Awards earlier this year followed by another for the UK BRIT music awards in February, Apple has extended the series by featuring South Korean group HYUKOH‘s new single “Citizen Kane,” which was released yesterday on Apple Music ahead of an EP release on May 31st....

Apple today has officially rolled out live sports to users of the Apple TV app in Canada. This means that users can now easily track sporting events through various providers and services with the TV app on iOS and tvOS… First discovered by MacRumors, Apple updated its availability support page this evening to reflect the addition of live sports in Canada. With this comes a new “Sports” tab in the TV app that highlights upcoming and currently airing sporting events, such as the FIFA World Cup....

Apple originally debuted its new iMac Pro back at WWDC in June, saying it would be available in December. After the grueling 6 month wait, the iMac Pro is officially available from Apple and the first orders will be arriving December 27th. Prices start at $4,999 and max out at $13,199… At the time of unveiling at WWDC, Apple touted that the iMac Pro is the “most powerful Mac ever,” even beating out the current-gen Mac Pro....

After China, India is now the world’s second-largest smartphone market – having overtaken the US last year. But while India is a massive growth market, Apple has seen its own sales plummet. The company has reportedly drawn up a five-point plan to try to fix the problem … Pricing is obviously Apple’s biggest challenge in India. Apple seeded another build of Mac OS X 10.7.3 to developers— this time with a build number of 11D50. Apple, again, said that no known issues are present in the build, but it did tell developers to focus on iCloud Document Storage, Address Book, iCal, Mail, Spotlight, and Safari. With no known issues present in the last few builds, it looks like Apple is taking its time to test OS X 10....

Apple is now selling a new generation LG UltraFine 4K Display for the same $699 price as the previous generation. The product is now listed at the Apple Online Store with shipping from tomorrow. The new model is a mixed bag. It features a larger 23.7-inch screen but the resolution is actually lower than the previous 21-inch incarnation. This means the effective pixels-per-inch is also lower. The new display was already quietly on sale at some Apple Stores as discovered yesterday....
